Nike is definitely the world's leading producer and supplier of athletic shoes, clothing and sports activities equipment (with an estimated 50 percent share from the $20 billion market) and has businesses in the Unites states, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The company is based in Beaverton, Oregon and was founded in 1964 since " Blue Ribbon Sports" by Philip Knight and Bill Bowerman. It takes its name from Nike, the Ancient greek language goddess of victory.

Nike has more than 500 places around the world and offices located in approximately 45 countries. Almost all of its manufacturing plants are located in Asia, which include China, Taiwan, India, Poultry, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Israel, Malaysia, and Korea. Nike owns 6 operating subsidiaries that support its organization. These are: Cole Haan Cooperation, Inc., NIKE Bauer Handbags, Hurley Intercontinental LLC, Nike IHM, Incorporation., Converse, Incorporation., and Exeter Brands Group LLC. Cole Haan Cooperation sells a line of outfit and informal footwear, clothing and add-ons for men and women within the brand names Cole Haan, g Series and Bragano. The corporation is involved in design, advancement and promoting of footwear, apparel, gear and item products. That sells usana products to price tag accounts, through NIKE-owned selling, including shops and Internet sales, and through a blend independent suppliers and licensees, in over 170 countries around the world.
